One New Man Art Painting: Call Of The Bride

Call Of The Bride

Scriptures: “You are to make a menorah of pure gold, by hammered work. Its base, stem, cups, bulbs and flowers are to be one piece” (Exodus 25:31)

“There are to be six branches coming out of the sides, three branches of the menorah out of one side, and three branches out of the other.” (Exodus 25:32)

“Now you are to march around the city, all the men of war circling the city once. So you are to do it for six days. Seven priests will carry seven shofarot of rams’ horns before the ark. Then on the seventh day you are to circle the city seven times while the priests blow the shofarot. It will be when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, when you hear the sound of the shofar, have all the people shout a loud shout...” (Joshua 6:3-5)

“For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments.” (2 Corinthians 10:4)

“Seal me in your heart with permanent betrothal, for love is strong as death, and jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. It flashes fire, the very flame of Jehovah.” (Song of Solomon 8:6)

“Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.” (Revelation 19:7)

I love to create prophetic ‘still life’ images with various objects at hand, this is one of those, which I photographed and finally painted. It’s also the screen saver on my iPad, as a daily reminder of ‘our’ high calling.

Using Gold for the menorah and background to represent the Glory of God, the light white veil represents the Holy Spirit's call to the Bride. The rams horn by contrast reminds us of our earthly calling to spiritual warfare.

The ancient imagery of the Menorah, given by God to Moses helps us to ‘picture’ The Family of God. Since the birth of Israel in 1948 it’s been the National emblem of the State of Israel.

Biblical text reminds us that the Israelites, being of the seed of Abraham, whom God called to be a Father of many nations, are elsewhere in scripture referred to by God, as My First Born Son.

Salvation has come to the whole world through the relationship that God has with the Jewish people. Now He calls to all His children from the Nations to carry His First Born son back to Him.

By using the symbol of the Menorah representing the First Covenant and the Olive Tree representing the second, for all God's Family in the earth.

We see a mystery revealed. Israel is the root, and Gentiles are grafted into that root, and not the other way round.

Together, in this generation, as never before, we Gentiles from the nations are being called to stand in the gap for Abba’s firstborn son Israel.

Together, Jew and Gentile we are being formed into the End Time Bride of Messiah, in preparation for His Return to His City, His People, His Land and His Global Family in all the earth.
