Land and Sea
Moving away from abstract impressions of creation, to a more realistic style I used colour to tell the story. Darkness for night, bright yellow for day, blue for sea, green and ochre suggesting land and vegetation.
White is used sparingly to suggest the shimmer of moonlight over the sea, and to highlight a landscape of hills in the dim background.
Frolicking sea life with birds on the wing as well as on land, gives ‘life’ to an otherwise inanimate landscape. Reminding me of the wonder that all of this incredible ‘matter’, is designed by God to sustain LIFE, in all its wonderful forms.
But with ONE overriding and particular purpose in His heart and mind, to make a viable space for humans to meet and commune with Him, each one individually and all together corporately together as One with Him our Father God.
