One New Man Art Painting: My Land

My Land

Scriptures: “Yet I brought you into a fertile land, to eat of its fruit and goodness. When you came to My land.”  (Jeremiah 2:7a)

"My land, on My mountains.” (Isaiah 14:25)

“The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is Mine and you reside in My land as foreigners and strangers.” (Leviticus 25:23)

“I myself said,'How gladly would I treat you like My children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.’ I thought you would call Me ‘Father’ and not turn away from following Me.”(Jeremiah 3:19)

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In My burning zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, for with glee and with malice in their hearts they made My land their own possession so that they might plunder its pastureland.” (Ezekiel 36:5)

“You will advance against My people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.” (Ezekiel 38:16).

“I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to My inheritance, My people Israel, because they scattered My people among the nations and divided up My land.” (Joel 3:2)

Having created the starry skies of the heavens and the earth, separated night from day, formed lands, seas, birds, animals and every other glorious act of creation. God chose a tiny spot on the Earth to call “My Land”.

This is a semi abstract painting representing a vibrant and colourful landscape of mountains and rivers, trees and fields. I imagined the blue skies alive with angelic activity over a flourishing and fruitful landscape that is very precious to the Lord.

The scriptures reveal Israel as God’s chosen Land of promise for His People, The Jewish People, and for His Return, where His feet will once again touch the Mount of Olives.
